Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This policy explains what FrameLedger collects when you use it, why, and the choices you have. FrameLedger is operated by FrameLedger. If you have questions, email frameledgerofficial@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address, the display name you choose and your password, which our authentication provider stores only as a secure hash. If you continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Content you add. Channels, video projects, tasks, research sources, claims, script segments, visual asset records and publishing details, including any links, notes and licence details you record.
  • Billing details. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe collects your payment details and billing address. We never see or store your full card number. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing interval, subscription status and renewal or cancellation dates.
  • Activity history. A log of changes in your workspace, such as “claim updated”, shown on your dashboard.
  • Technical data. Our providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and request times, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, sign you in, and send account emails such as confirming your address.
  • To store your content and show it to you.
  • To take payments for paid plans, manage subscriptions and keep billing records.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your content to train AI models.

Legal bases

If you are in the EU or UK: we process your account details and content to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), billing records to meet our tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation), and technical data for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Google user data

When you choose Continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture only to create your account and sign you in. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube or any other Google data. FrameLedger’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only:

  • Sign-in cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in.
  • fl_sidebar, which remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar.

Who processes your data

  • Supabase: database and authentication hosting.
  • Brevo: sending account emails.
  • Stripe: payments, subscriptions, invoices and fraud prevention, only if you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • Google: only if you continue with Google.
  • Our web hosting provider, which serves the app.

They process data on our behalf under their own security measures. Some may process data outside your country; where the law requires it, those transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your content within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer, such as invoices and payment records, which tax law requires us to keep for several years. Copies in our providers’ backups expire on their own schedule.

Your rights

You can view and edit your content in the app, export projects as Markdown, JSON or CSV, and change your name and password in Settings. You can also ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing frameledgerofficial@gmail.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, and database rules ensure each workspace’s records can be read only by its members. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

FrameLedger is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes, we will also tell you by email or in the app.
